[Text him! Or do whatever, I'm not the police, and neither is he, thank God. Just specify if you want the more-fun-but-less-stable pre-11/20 guy or the grumpy third semester/postcanon guy. Pancake only for VRDR guys please, he's not third semester yet]

...I really do owe him an apology. You as well."

It's interesting, though, to hear Amada still bickering like a child. With every hair on alert for a suggestion of something going wrong, he carries on souping.
no subject
"Next time you need bait or another thing stupidly dangerous, use me, all right? I doubt anyone would manage to kill me."
no subject
At least then, the others wouldn't have to worry about him so much. He'd be able to stand as an equal.
no subject
Use me instead, though. Double ugh. He really wanted to hate that kid. He sets the soup jug gently down in the microwave with the barest clink instead of slamming it down, and is very pleased.
no subject
He closed his eyes and buried his head in Raven's shoulder.
"You're the one who insisted for us to be friends, despite how stupid an idea it was. Now face the consequences. I'll always worry about you."
no subject
After all, Ken was a friend, not a tool.
no subject
You know what, he thinks this soup could use a little more bulk. Cutting the microwave cycle short, he upends the jug carefully into a saucepan and—out of all the things he could have added—throws in a handful of small, colourful fu dumplings.

Magpie probably found this all so weird. Missing context certainly didn't help.
He could only hope that Ken would eventually see that he was worth more than his abilities.
no subject
Very carefully, he stirs the soup to make sure it doesn't catch fire or some fucking thing, and listens. Everything he'd done, for all those years, and nobody ever....

But arguing with Raven felt the same as last time, it was like arguing with a brick wall. He sighed, but a small smile formed itself on his lips.
"You're impossible, you know that? Well, if you are going to be so stubborn... whatever happens, you're not allowed to regret it."
no subject
no subject
But to Ken, "Perhaps you'll find that neither one of us regrets it. I'm told I have a rather profound effect on people."
no subject
...
"I can't deny that you're having an effect on me," he admitted, while also slightly deflecting from his true feelings.
no subject
Or, well. He could just imagine being Crow. The thought is awkward; Crow has been on radio silence for a good ten minutes. Maybe Raven and Amada have killed him.
no subject
It may help ease the mood, at least.
no subject
...
What had he gotten himself into?
no subject
"Here you are. I hope it suits and won't poison you," he says, superficially pleasant except when his eyes meet Raven's and soften. "I'm sure Raven has told you about my reputation in the kitchen."
no subject
no subject
"Is that right? Be careful I don't tip that bowl over your head."
no subject
Ken may be a stressed ten year old kid with issues, but that doesn't mean he can't recognize and indulge in friendly banter.
no subject
To prove his point, he grabs one of the fu in his chopsticks and plops it into his mouth with a smirk.
no subject
Like Magpie turning a new smile, smaller and spikier but more sincere, on Ken. "If you listen to Hawk and Akira-kun, my cooking can take out entire city blocks. Out of the mouths of babes, as they say."
After all, don't they also say all of life is a test?
no subject
On that, he started eating his soup too. It was indeed fine... and he was quite hungry after all this ordeal, so he continued eating a bit faster.
